Jenessa is a source of tremendous pride for not only her softball coaches, but by the entire PHS family.
Minh Vo - 2023
Minh is the first generation in his family to attend a four-year university. Minh also shone brightly for his incredible perseverance. He was a confused and frightened immigrant that jumped into American life and school, determined to forge a path toward the American Dream. He pushed past the bullies as he mastered English, since he knew his success was ultimately up to his perseverance. We are happy that this award will ease stress on him and his family, as well as make his move to St. Paul, MN smoother so he can attend Hamline University.

Desteny displayed incredible perseverance. First with language; she not only had to master English for her academic and social success, but she also needed to perfect her Spanish to communicate with her family. She also became a dental assistant while a Junior, and is currently completing a medical assisting program. Desteny will be attending San Jose State University in the Fall.
